The FSA Group receives HP Indigo Progressive Printing Award at Drupa.

Markham, Ontario, June 26th 2008 – The FSA Group today announced it is the recipient of an HP Indigo Progressive Printing Award, the only Canadian Company recognized in the international competition. The HP Indigo Progressive Printing Competition recognizes excellence and innovation in digital printing. The FSA Group received the prestigious award from HP during the recent Drupa Conference in Dusseldorf, Germany.

The competition which attracted 482 entries from 31 countries, was divided into five categories: photo-specialty; direct marketing and transpromotional printing; publications, including books, user manuals and magazines; marketing collateral, and an open, “other,” category for innovative, inspirational or creative submissions.

The category winners are:
Direct marketing: The FSA Group, of Markham, Ontario, Canada
Photo-specialty: Guangdong Guangzhou Bixin, of Guangzhou, China
Publications: Cambrian Printers Ltd, of Aberwystwyth, Wales, UK
Marketing collateral: Vovremja, Moscow, Russia
Other: Beijing QL-ART Printing Co. Ltd, Beijing, China

"By maximizing digital versatility, our customers are creating tailored one to one communciations, printing rich and vibrant colours that are comparable to offset,” said Bar-Shany, general manager, Indigo Digital Press Division, Judging was by five experienced industry experts including, Andy Hatkoff, vice president, Advanced Color Technologies, Pantone, Inc.; Bill Garno, director Printing Applications Laboratory, Rochester Institute of Technology; Matt Kitcherside, general manager, Gyro London, UK; Carlos Silgado, editor-in-chief of Artes Gráficas Magazine; Chen Yan, vice president of China Academy of Printing Technology.

"The winners demonstrated an appreciation and knowledge of the capabilities of their HP Indigo presses and used the features successfully in reproducing their work which made them stand out from other submissions", said Andy Hatkoff, Vice President, Advanced Color Technologies, Pantone® Inc.

"The FSA Group was selected from a very distinguished field of international competitors", noted Debra Swift, HP.
